About Total Fabrication Training

Total Fabrication Training combines basic hands-on fabrication training with advanced concepts, such as thermoforming, coved splashes, inlays and repair techniques. The four-day course is the most comprehensive training program available for the solid surface industry and is endorsed by leading manufacturers of solid surface products.

Total Fabrication Training adds to the craftsmenship of the solid surface fabricator by presenting and practicing the best fabrication techniques available. This course is designed to increase safety, quality, productivity and the utilization of time saving tools and techniques with both the beginning and experienced fabricator in mind.

Total Fabrication Training is taught with a variety of adult learning techniques and presentations. The information is presented in an interactive group discussion format covering theory, best practices and real life experiences. Where applicable, the processes are demonstrated in a shop environment. Students will then apply the process to an actual kitchen countertop and fabricate one with their workstation partner. This process includes templating, material layout, cutting, seaming, bowl mounting, edge treatments (2 different types on the project), cutouts, basic repairs, inlays, thermoforming, coved backsplashes, overhangs, finishing and installation.

Total Fabrication Training also covers :

• Safety
• Product Knowledge
• Basic Productivity Concepts
• Templating
• Seaming
• Cutouts
• Bowl Mounting Processes
• Edge Treatments
• Thermoforming
• Inlays
• Back Splashes
• Finishing
• Quality Control & Inspection
• Installation

Anyone wanting to acquire the information on solid surface fabrication, but who are not interested in performing the training exercises, can attend as an observer. This is an excellent opportunity for management, sales, or office staff to learn more specifically about what is entailed in fabrication, so as to be able to accomplish their own tasks more accurately and professionally.
