I got word that a longtime Fabricator member was not aware of the meeting in Massachusettes last month. I was really counting on him going, because he was the guy who took over as State Coordinator after I left the post (after about thee years), and it would have been nice to have that timeline represented. He said he is off the email list, and I'm wondering why that is?

Without going into names, etc., I have to ask: Is this a mistake on ISSFA's part? Do you guys actually not email certain members?

I'd like to get it straightened out beause he's a particularly good voice to have on board, if not on the board.

Tom

Tom why don’t you have your friend call the ISSFA HQ and confirm his e-mail. Perhaps some of the info is missing.

If this is who I think it is, the issue is that the person in question is not the principal contact for that company. ISSFA will only communicate with employees or others at a company when approved by the principal contact. Again, if this is who I think, it has been addressed and we at staff are now sending communications to this person at the request of the principal contact.

Tom, if this is someone other than this, please have him contact staff on Monday and we will get it corrected.

If anyone else wishes communications to go to additional people at your company, just have the principal contact let us know and we will make it happen.

To the other question, we regularly send e-mails to over 1,000 contacts. No one is "not sent" unless we do not have a valid address or we have been asked not to send.

Thanks for asking and helping clear this up.

Bill

Have him also check his member profile to see if all the information is correct I know there may be data base  issues but the profile being correct would help.

Tom,
I would ask that you have your friend follow up with Staff just to be sure. As Mike said we have experienced some data base problems in the past and are currently looking to update our current data base. Nothing serious with the data base, it's time to start thinking about upgrading or replacing the one we've had for a really long time. Thanks for bringing speaking up. I would have liked to met your freind while I was there.

Regards,
