Member Spotlight: Taking Solid Surface To New Heights!

Fabricator and ISSFA's I.T. Officer on the  Board of Directors shows us his latest project that takes Solid Surface to new heights and different uses. "We just did this job last week.  14 sheets of Corian in all - on the walls and ceiling. The Sephora logo is a hard inlay.  Hope you like it," said Kurt.

Do you screw the material in then plug up the holes along with plastic wraps around the screws?
This looks so great but i would worry about the liability of falling down unless you make sure of that,Great looking work...Durability too!, Gene McDonald refresh@knology.net

Gene,
Yes, we did screw and plug the holes. In addition to normal; we also used a special adhesive from Integra to bond the panels to the substructure. Thanks to Chad for the help with the glues. A glass channel was to be installed this week; and it would add some extra supportl. More lettering will be applied to the large face and it gets mounted through the solid surface into the sub structure as well. That should add some additional anchoring.
Thanks,
KUrt

Rob,
The job is in a new addition on the Westgate Mall located in Annapolis, MD. I think it is due to be open at the end of October.
