The International Solid Surface Fabricator’s Association is pleased to announce that Zary South has been selected to become the Manager of Membership and Member Service.

“Zary is a welcome and exciting addition to Team ISSFA,” says Robert Oxley, ISSFA Executive Director. “He ‘gets it’ when it comes to the fact that we exist to serve the members and mission of ISSFA. Plus, he has a unique background in electronics, technology, business ownership and serving customers.”

Mr. South has several years of experience in the building and construction trades, most recently as a designer of semi-custom cabinetry for production homes in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in the sales, installation, and finally, the manufacture of automotive electronics equipment.  Active as an independent designer and home remodeler, South is a frequent contributor of trade-specific articles to the industry, with topics ranging from ergonomic kitchen layouts to improving shop processes and procedures.

South is also the winner of the 2007 Joanna Duggan Memorial Scholarship, attending the Total Fabrication Training class. In February 2008, while attending ISSFA’s Quartz Templating & Installation class, Mr. South decided to work closely with ISSFA’s team on volunteer membership opportunities.

“My main goals are adding value and relevance to ISSFA’s important presence in the Solid Surface universe. We’re experiencing another business cycle that allows time for us to connect with members, both with advice and examples that will help them make their business stronger. I look to promote ISSFA’s strengths within the ranks of existing members, and encourage non-members to be a part of the only solid surface association in the world.”
