On graduation day, Thursday, January 11th, 2007 the International Solid Surface Fabricator’s Association (ISSFA) celebrated the training of its 1,000th student. Shown in the photo is the Director of Education and Training, Bill Wolle presenting the 1,000th certificate to Bob Pace, of South County Construction in Pendleton, Oregon. The Total Fabrication Training class has been training solid surface fabricator craftsmen since 1999. The class is an intensive, hands-on, four day class and graduation signifies that the fabricator has attained the skill, knowledge, processes, and experience that is required for certification by the manufacturers of solid surface.
Founded in February of 1997, the International Solid Surface Fabricators Association (ISSFA) the only trade association established to further the personal and professional interests of the solid surface fabricator. ISSFA is the leading resource for the latest ideas, information, and education about solid surfacing and the skilled craftsmen who install and fabricate it.
ISSFA fabricators tend to be the best in the business. To become members, fabricators must agree to uphold a Code of Ethics, provide a certificate of insurance, prove amount of time in business and be approved by the Board of Directors.
ISSFA associate members include distributors, manufacturers and affiliated professionals that provide tools, machinery, supplies and services to the solid surface industry; and allied industry professionals such as interior designers, architects, and specifiers.
