ISSFA HAS CHANGED!
Henderson, NV
It was a relaxing evening of fabricators networking with fabricators and their suppliers, at the International Solid Surface Fabricators Association (ISSFA) Headquarters & Training Center, on May 8, 2007.
Approximately one hundred ISSFA members and guests, who were in Las Vegas attending the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show, came together at the “Free Barbeque, Beer & Soda Open House,” where relaxing, networking and discovery were the only agenda items.

“The members loved it! Every body was relaxed and happy. At least ten people went out of their way to find me to say thanks and ask if we were going to do it again, and when,” said Oxley, ISSFA’s Executive Director. “It was worth the efforts to see the fabricators, suppliers, board members and staff touring the training center, talking shop, and discovering just how much ISSFA has changed in the last 36 months,” he added.

“The highlights of the evening, in addition to great burgers, beers and “the best tasting coleslaw and potato salad on the planet,” was watching people discover the training center. They were really impressed with the quality of our equipment, the curriculum and the depth of support from those who donated and sponsored everything from the sheets, to tools, to fabrication supplies,” said Bill Wolle Director of Education & Certification, at ISSFA.
Board of Directors and Executive Committee members Sid Mackay, from Las Vegas, NV and Ted Sherritt, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada were on hand, representing the ISSFA Leadership Team. Perhaps, one fabricator attendee summed up their presence best when he told Oxley: “I just had a beer with them. They are fabricators just like us!”
Attendees were exposed to and impressed by the five computers set throughout the building that continually demonstrated new member services; such as: the ISSFA Business2Business Marketplace; two new DVD based self-study programs; the Webinar training programs, the free downloadable pictures, research articles and studies ons www.issfa.org; and, two advanced business development programs set for release later this year.
