Great news for ALL ISSFA members – especially those involved with commercial and government spec work!  ISSFA has submitted documents to the American Woodwork Institute (AWI) to add a “solid surface standard” section to the AWI Quality Standards Illustrated.

Dr. Donald H. Slocum Biochemist, invented counter surface Dr. Donald Hillman Slocum of Convent Station died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008. A memorial service will be held at the Madison Hotel on Monday, March 3, 2008, from 6 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Southern Blvd., Chatham Township.

The International Solid Surface Fabricators Association, the only trade association representing the interests of those who fabricate, supply, and support solid surface and quartz materials, announced the association members who have been nominated by their peers for the following industry awards...

On February 21-23, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Surface Fabrication & Design Expo will roll out a new and comprehensive education program that is broken down into tracks according to the development stage of a fabrication business, with seminars directed specifically at issues they currently face.
