LG Solid Source Names Gregory Vas Nunes to Serve as President

The association has just received notification from LG Solid Source – the North American sales and marketing arm for LG Surfaces – that Gregory Vas Nunes has been selected as President by the LGSS board of directors.

Vas Nunes has a successful track record with broad experience in the building products, fibers, and chemical industries. He has spent his career working in a range of general management, marketing, sales and operations with an international focus for companies including Hyosung and DuPont. Vas Nunes spent over seven years in multiple senior leadership positions with DuPont Corian. He brings dynamic, relevant experience to the surfacing industry.

M.H. Han, President, Industrial Materials Company, LG Chem, Ltd., said that the board selected Vas Nunes based on his ability to execute the LG Solid Source agenda, and experience in adapting to Korean culture and management style.

“Jerry Dailey was highly successful during his tenure as President for LGSS. We really appreciate his effort and contribution. As our next President for LGSS, Greg came to our attention because of his consistent success in growing businesses through skilled marketing, relationship selling, and a focus on quality. He has worked in diverse locations and cultures giving him the innate ability to adapt and prosper. We are confident that he is the ideal person to grow LG’s business and expand our products across segments,” said Han.

Vas Nunes will take up the new position on February 11. He succeeds retired President Jerry Dailey, an industry veteran who has been president since 2002 and will remain as a member of the LG Solid Source Board of Directors.
